It's just that I couldn't type anything in the password box. However it's strange that when I pressed a random key on a keyboard, the welcome screen reacted and switched to the login screen.
I've also tried using an external usb keyboard that works on other computers and no luck, the keyboard didn't work on that laptop either. I could only use mouse but it's useless as I couldn't even use the on screen keyboard to enter my password. So all of a sudden I couldn't use any keyboard on the laptop and got stuck on the login screen.
